Travel: Beaches Turks and Caicos

Since we had some time off for the summer, we decided to take a family trip to Beaches Turks and Caicos. I had actually never been to Turks, or any all inclusive resorts before so I wasn’t sure of what to expect. We wanted a short flight and a good beach.

First of all, the beach was absolutely perfect. Probably one of the nicest beaches I’ve been to. It didn’t seem too crowded and we could enjoy and relax.

At Beaches, we stayed in the Key West Village, and the hotel itself was really nice and conducive for kids. Since my son is 3, any place that makes things easier for young kids is a win in my book. There is a water park for kids, with waterslides, a splash section with a pirate ship, and a lazy river. The pirate ship was my son’s FAVORITE, he asked to go to the ship every day, and went down the waterslides a million times.

There was a ton of Sesame Street. There were live Sesame Street shows, which kept the kids entertained for a bit. The Sesame Street characters also walk around the resort. We got to meet Cookie Monster and Abby, which really made my son’s trip. There is also a Camp Sesame for parents who want to drop their kids off. Other than the Sesame Street, my son loved the train that went around the resort. We took a ride around and he was really entertained by it.

The fact that the resort was all-inclusive worked out nicely because there were a lot of options. Little ones can obviously be picky, so we were always able to figure out meal time (and quickly to avoid tantrums clearly). The room was stocked with drinks for down-time after the kids went to bed to relax.

….we had the best time and counting down to our next beach vacation already….
