Fall Fun: The Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze

It’s October now so we have officially entered that time of year when we can have fun with all things pumpkin.

So we obviously grabbed our pumpkin spice lattes and went to the pumpkin blaze.   The great Jack O’Lantern Blaze has become a fall tradition for us.  It featured over 7,000 hand-carved, illuminated pumpkins set against the  Van Cortlandt Manor.  You get to walk across a pumpkin bridge, see a pumpkin carousel, and pumpkin haunted houses.  It was family friendly, luckily not too scary for the kids.  They thought it was really cool to see all the different Jack O’lanterns.  They also appreciated all the candy and treats they got to have after too.  The pumpkin blaze was a night of fall fun and clearly this is proof that I will need to work on my pumpkin-carving skills before I decorate the house for Halloween ;). See our pictures from the night below.
